Infraspeak Backed by €10 Million Funding Round

Infraspeak Backed by €10 Million Funding Round
08 December 2021 | Updated 09 December 2021

Porto-based maintenance and FM platform Infraspeak has raised a €10 million (Series A1) round of funding.

Founded in 2015, Infraspeak’s platform is used by clients such as Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, Ale-hop, Engie, Penguin FM, IHG Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Keppel Data Centres.

Co-led by Indico Capital and Knight Capital, and joined by existing investors Innovation Nest and Caixa Capital, the funding round will allow the company to consolidate its leadership in the European market.

There will be a particular focus on targeting French and DACH markets.

Other priorities include hiring top talent (the company is looking to double down on its team until the end of 2022), boosting Infraspeak's platform vision.

“The facility management industry is a large yet underexplored market by technology startups. Infraspeak, as the leading European innovator, has managed to build an operating system that enables the facility management industry to act on its digital transformation objectives, ESG goals and digitize the frontline workforce."

Property Management Data

Infraspeak allows maintenance and facilities management teams to connect their assets, IoT devices and hardware, or even other software solutions to transform all data into real actions through intelligence.

“The future of facilities management software is around flexibility, intelligence and integration. Flexibility to allow each team to adapt their software to any kind of operations; Intelligence to proactively transform the thousands of data points collected daily into actionable insights for staff and management; and integration to allow the plethora of people, processes, IoT and software to intercommunicate efficiently with each other. Infraspeak is now the only platform to consolidate all operational tools and workflows in a single solution, and we are only getting started”, explained Felipe Ávila da Costa, co-founder and CEO of Infraspeak.

Stephan Morais, Managing General Partner of Indico Capital, commented: "Digitising a sector that still relies on outdated solutions to run complex operations was an opportunity that made us back Infraspeak from day one. The post-pandemic fast adoption of digital solutions by the facilities management industry coupled with Infraspeak’s truly superior product, unmatched globally, gives us great encouragement to continue to back the company".

“The facility management industry is a large yet underexplored market by technology startups. Infraspeak, as the leading European innovator, has managed to build an operating system that enables the facility management industry to act on its digital transformation objectives, ESG goals and digitize the frontline workforce. We are fortunate to back Felipe and Luis, and believe in a future where the facility management ecosystem collaborates on Infraspeak”, stated Arthur Nobel, Principal at Knight Capital.
