ISS’ Matthew Dean Secures Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners Award
11 November 2022

Matthew Dean, Product Development Manager at ISS, has been awarded the Chartered Practitioner Award from the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners.

The accolade is one of the cleaning industry’s highest recognitions. The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners is a membership organisation for environmental cleaners and associated businesses, and one of 110 Livery companies in the City of London.

Acknowledging the UK cleaning industry’s highest standards of professionalism, the company received a grant of royal approval in 2021, this chartered status now allowing its members to confer the award of Chartered Practitioner.

15-Year Career in FM – Form BICSc to ISS

Matthew has worked in the cleaning sector for 15 years. He started out in a training and education role within the facilities management industry. Since then, Matthew has worked at the British Institute of Cleaning Services (BICSc) in a senior role; helming the CleanEvent Senior Leadership team and delivering contract work for such venues as Wembley Stadium, Silverstone, Liverpool Football Club and Cheltenham racetrack; becoming Head of Cleaning for Lancashire County Council; and joining ISS in March 2020, taking on the Operations Performance Role.

In receiving the Chartered Practitioner award, Matthew has demonstrated a remarkable contribution to the cleaning sector and continues to support ISS’s wider company ambition: to help staff become the workers they want to be and become a part of something even bigger.
