• KFC to Open 500 New Sites in UK and Ireland

Fast food restaurant chain KFC is set to grow its estate across the UK and Ireland with 500 new sites.

KFC will invest £1.5 billion in its estate, with around £466 million spent on opening new restaurants in the UK and Ireland, creating 7,000 new jobs.

The investment will also be used to upgrade 200 existing restaurants. KFC has over 1,000 sites across the UK and Ireland, including drive-thrus, “small box” sites, travel hubs and traditional restaurants. 

This year marks 60 years since the opening of the first KFC in the UK and Ireland in Preston, Lancashire.

KFC is offering a £20,000 finder’s fee for property professionals who introduce a new site. KFC drive-thrus require a minimum of 0.50 acres and 25 parking spaces with a dedicated delivery bay and a minimum of two waiting bays.
