Levy UK + Ireland Delivers New Low Alcohol Lounge at Newbury Racecourse
18 August 2025

A new low alcohol hospitality offering has been unveiled at Newbury Racecourse, in partnership with catering and hospitality company Levy UK + Ireland.

The “Bar None” lounge has been developed by Levy, Thatchers, and Lucky Saint to offer a space where low to no alcohol drinks are the norm.

The bar sells Thatchers and Lucky Saint’s low and no alcohol drinks, alongside soft drinks, smoothies, milkshakes, Wild Idol’s alcohol-free sparkling wine and sparkling pressé from Heartease Farm.

Statistics from the global authority on beverage alcohol data IWSR show that volumes of the total no-alcohol market are expected to grow at CAGR of +7 per cent until 2028. Non-alcoholic beer currently accounts for more than two per cent of the UK’s total beverage alcohol market sales.

Research from Alcohol Change UK, the charity behind Dry January, suggests that concerns about managing alcohol consumption are highest among the 25-34 age group and lowest among those aged 55 and above.

“It’s clear from public sentiment that the desire to consume no and low alcohol products is increasing and the opening of Bar None is an exciting step in the Racecourse embracing this appetite, said Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive at Newbury Racecourse.
