Sodexo UK & Ireland has announced it has renewed and expanded its contract with Transport for London (TfL) for a further three years, with an option to extend an extra year.

The new contract, which started on 1 September 2026, includes the retention of 25 London Underground sites, such as Baker Street, Seven Sisters, Stratford, and Earls Court, that are currently receiving catering services from Sodexo, alongside the addition of three corporate offices and one training facility.

Incorporating the extra four sites will see Sodexo deliver food services to around 7,000 more customers every day throughout the contract period.

As part of this renewed partnership, Sodexo plans to roll-out its Everyday mobile app, a digital innovation that will help TfL employees access healthy and affordable food options, especially during peak times and across shift patterns at the additional corporate sites in the contract, including Palestra, Pier Walk and Endeavour Square.

Reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to social value, Sodexo will measure and report on its impact as part of contract management, such as the continued sustainable and ethical sourcing of food, including Fairtrade and MSC/ASC-certified seafood. 

As a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer, all Sodexo employees at TfL will be able to access accredited apprenticeship pathways through its Chef and FM academies. This includes pathways to Level 2 Commis Chef and Level 4 Senior Culinary Chef qualifications.

WasteWatch, Sodexo's food waste reduction programme that prevented more than 12,500 meals worth of waste in 2025 during the existing contract with TfL, will be deployed at the four new sites, alongside a continued effort to reduce single-use plastic items across the estate, and taking a more circular approach to catering equipment, like resurfacing chopping boards, using reusable cups and keep-cup schemes.

Sodexo’s versatile on-site food brand, Kitchen Works, will also be introduced across all sites offering a quarterly rotating and inclusive menu. This includes using items from ‘Journey Home’ recipes, an initiative that celebrates the diversity of Sodexo’s workforce via their recipes, alongside regional favourites and global dishes. The company will also expand its hospitality services to cover event support in addition to the existing staff restaurant and meeting room services.

Sodexo has delivered services for TfL for more than 30 years, supporting employees of London Underground, London bus drivers and other partners that keep the capital moving, such as the British Transport Police, 365 days a year, seven days a week, and from 7am to 11pm.
