• Sodexo Signs Extended Catering Contract With Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Sodexo Health & Care has secured an extended contract to provide patient dining services for the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Following a partnership of almost thirty years, Sodexo’s healthcare services arm has been awarded an eight-year extension to its patient dining contract. The £24.8 million deal is with Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services (DSFS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trust. 

Sodexo provides frozen meals through its partnership with Apetito, alongside fresh dishes prepared in the hospital’s central production kitchen before being transported to wards using regeneration trolleys.

The new contract has seen the rollout of a new inpatient menu, featuring a dedicated finger food range that supports independent eating for people living with dementia and a high-energy mini meal range for patients with reduced appetites or those requiring calorie-dense meals.
