Bidvest Noonan Promotes Lorraine Monaghan to Drive its Operations in the Education Sector in Ireland

 

FM provider Bidvest Noonan has announced the appointment of Lorraine Monaghan as the Director of Operations, Education, for its Irish operations. This development comes as the company charts an impressive growth trajectory, underpinned by its commitment to excellence in its provision of cleaning, security, and M&E maintenance services across the country.

An experienced professional, Lorraine has seen her career with Bidvest Noonan flourish since joining the ranks in April 2014. Her journey, from Customer Service Representative to her new role, is marked by an impressive track record of success having built strong and lasting relationships with some of the leading institutes and universities across the country.

Lorraine, an IWFM graduate with a Diploma in Facilities Management, has held a series of progressively responsible positions in the company, most notably as a dedicated Contract Manager for one of Dublin’s most renowned universities and later as an Operations Manager where she handled an expanding client base in the education sector. These experiences have provided her with a unique perspective and the necessary skills to succeed in her new role as Director of Operations.

Breyer Appoints New Group Commercial Director

 

The Breyer Group has appointed Mark Crane to fulfil the role of Group Commercial Director with a view to supporting its current and future growth, as well as helping to secure a leading position within the sector.

Mark joins Breyer from The Window Company (Contracts) Limited where he has acted as Commercial Director for the past 5 years. During his time with the firm, Mark has been instrumental in helping them more than double turnover, in spite of the Covid backdrop, and substantially diversify their client base.

Having started out as a trainee apprentice PQS straight from school, Mark has worked in the construction and social housing industry for over 30 years. Among his substantial experience, he counts leading firms Galliford PLC and Keepmoat Regeneration Limited.

Mark comments on his decision to join Breyer: “Breyer has a strong, established brand within the social housing sector and great potential for more. With the recent rebranding, and their forward-thinking approach to client services, it’s clear to see that Breyer is on a positive transitional journey. I’m excited to be a part of the management team responsible for helping Breyer become the market leader that it’s already set to become.”

Arcus FM Appoints New Chief Technology Officer

 

Alan Wright has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Arcus FM. Alan has been with Arcus since 2009 and has been the driving force behind many of the business's award-winning technology deployments for customers over that time. 

With a background in engineering, Alan brings a wealth of facilities management experience, operational knowledge, and 16 years of technology project delivery expertise to the role as the business continues its growth trajectory.

Alan is perfectly placed to support Arcus in realising the potential of our technology division to bring benefits to both our colleagues and our customers.” 

As Chief Technology Officer, Alan will be responsible for driving Arcus’ technology strategy with a focus on developing innovative technology that supports the services offered, continuing to strengthen information and cyber security, and support in customer engagement and growth. 

Arcus uses technology to enable businesses to realise efficiency, energy, carbon, and cost savings while maintaining operational up-time and compliance – all underpinned by a nationwide team of technical experts and specialists.  

Throughout his time at Arcus, Alan has led the digitisation of maintenance with CAFM system integrations, introduction of equipment monitoring, supporting the development of Arcus’ in-house team of technical specialists, the SMaRT (Smarter Maintenance and Real -Time Technology) Hub, and the embedding of Arcus’ IoT platform Helix that monitors maintenance needs of multiple assets and their energy usage and offers remote controls to automate energy and carbon savings for customers. 

On his appointment, Alan says “I joined Arcus in 2009 to develop my career within the FM industry, and I love that we work in an environment that provides opportunities and supports career growth.

Peacock Engineering Announces Latest Round of Hires

 

Peacock Engineering, a specialist in managed cloud enterprise asset management (EAM), field service management (FSM) and Facility Management solutions, has announced the appointments of two highly skilled additions to its technical team. The latest round of hires also includes further growth in its sales division, as Lee Turnbull joins as Business Development Manager.

The announcement comes as Peacock Engineering continues a period of impressive growth which has seen its team grow 20% in the last year. Over the last few months, the firm has won a series of new high-profile customers and also opened a second technical facility in Pune, India.

Expanding on its technical capabilities and to support the recent expansion, Tom Johnson joins the firm as a Solution Architect. Tom brings with him ten years of practical experience with IBM Maximo, both as a lead consultant and Solution architect. Tom has worked in a variety of industries ranging from Oil and Gas, to the Automotive industry.

Joining Tom is Principal Consultant, David Shaw. David also has over a decade of experience in the digital solutions space, is a highly skilled IBM Maximo developer and has expertise in the plant and engineering industry sector.

Lee Turnbull has also joined Peacock Engineering as Business Development Manager. Lee has nearly ten years’ experience working in the EAM sector, specialising in helping organisations develop effective strategies for improving operational day-to-day efficiencies, achieve health & safety compliance and optimise scheduling processes. Lee has experience across a broad range of sectors, including energy and utilities, life sciences, manufacturing, oil and gas, and transport.
