OCS Announces New Contract Wins With Southbank Centre and Virgin Atlantic

OCS Announces New Contract Wins With Southbank Centre and Virgin Atlantic
01 May 2024

OCS has announced two new FM contract wins this week, with Virgin Atlantic and Southbank Centre respectively.

Southbank Centre has awarded OCS a five-year contract to supply total facilities management services to their sites: the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and Hayward Gallery.

The contract went live on 1 April 2024, with over 100 front-line colleagues transferred from the incumbent service provider, thought to be Equans. OCS also plans to recruit from within the local community for outsourced services and further employment.

According to an OCS press statement, the contract was partly won due to the provider’s smart technology platform: ABi. The Southbank Centre intends to use the data analysis solution to help monitor its sustainability and energy efficiency goals.

Hilton Wells, Head of Facilities at Southbank Centre, said “We are excited about the collaboration with OCS and their dedication to delivering our specific requirements. Their commitment to building a strong and cooperative relationship has been clear throughout the process. We believe that their expertise will play a vital role in preserving our status as a hub for the arts community and improving our facilities. We anticipate a successful and mutually rewarding partnership.”

Contract Extension With Virgin Atlantic

OCS’ existing laundry services contract with Virgin Atlantic has also been extended, and will see the team continuing to work at Virgin Atlantic’s locations at Heathrow and Manchester, as well as Scotland during the busy summer period. The contract is fulfilled from OCS’ 60,000 sq ft site.
