Read Full ArticleA new platform that allows facilities managers to tailor the parking process and experience to individual sites has launched.
Raedam’s system provides an automated and streamlined parking request, review and allocation process. Staff complete an online assessment to determine their parking needs, and a scoring engine allocates the correct parking access, based on company-defined policies. The system communicates with on-site connected systems like barriers and ANPR or workspace booking tools.
The product aims to ensure that parking is always available to those with the highest need, allowing on-site security and facilities teams to improve the staff and visitor experience. According to a survey of 500 UK drivers by WJ Group, one in three people between the ages of 35 and 44 would be deterred from coming into the office by poor parking facilities.
Raedam can also measure Scope 3 emissions from staff travel to the car park, using data from the assessment process and daily parking activity.
FM outsourcer Mitie, along with other well-known enterprise organizations such as Vodafone UK and Johnson & Johnson, are already using Raedam to streamline car park operations, reduce overheads, and improve the workplace parking experience.
Oliver Sherrington-Roberts, VP of Product and Operations at Raedam added: “Over the past few years, significant investments have been made by organisations to enhance and modernise their workplace experience, and be more sustainable. However, what many fail to recognise is that the workplace experience for many doesn’t begin in the lobby, but in the car park. Or that driving commuters can have a significant impact to the company’s carbon-footprint. That's why we created Raedam, to enable companies to elevate their staff’s parking experience and manage policies as seamlessly as any other area of their workplace,”
“We hope that with Raedam, companies can make parking into a positive part of the workplace experience, while also contributing to a healthier planet.
