Spotlight Interview – Sunita Gordon | SaferSpace
02 April 2024 | Updated 05 September 2024

Sunita Gordon is the Co-Founder and CEO of SaferSpace, an app that allows employees to report unacceptable behaviour and harassment in the workplace anonymously.

79 per cent of workplace sexual harassment incidents go unreported, largely due to confusion over what counts as harassment or discrimination.

SaferSpace's AI chatbot is designed to help. With data based on the UK Equality Act, the app helps users to decipher tricky situations at work. It also educates users about their rights and the legalities of workplace conduct, promoting an environment where they can confidently address and challenge misconduct.

We spoke to Sunita about the data on workplace harassment and how SaferSpace’s AI chatbot is helping to support those experiencing workplace discrimination.

Sunita Gordon's diverse career spans three decades, encompassing roles such as Fractional Director, Commercial Advisor, Non-Executive Director, and Specialist in Business Development & Marketing for Software as a Service. With her roots in media, starting at News International and progressing to Guardian News and Media, Sunita has directed commercial operations and launched pioneering online platforms for educational publications.

Sunita also advocates for gender balance in the built environment as part of the Equilibrium Network steering group.
