ThisWeekinFM's latest Spotlight Interview is with Alex Diaz, Founder and CEO of Purgo Supply Services.

Alex Diaz’s FM career started at 14 years old when she helped her mother clean in department stores. After a ten-year career in professional sport, Alex returned to the world of cleaning, as an Area Manager for a family cleaning company. The company was acquired and Alex continued to progress becoming Regional Operations Director for London and from there expanded her knowledge becoming Operations Director in the challenging environment of the 5* hospitality sector. 

Alex then progressed to starting her own business Purgo Supply Services in 2013, intending to disrupt the market with her “because we care” philosophy. Purgo is also known for being an early adopter of robotic technology in partnership with ICE, using autonomous scrubber dryers and vacuums across their education sector contracts.

We spoke to Alex about how she differentiates her business, why she chose to be an early adopter of robotic technology, and how this is helping Purgo reach its sustainability goals.
