• Wates Property Services Announces Two New Business Development Appointments

Wates Property Services to appointed two new hires in its business growth department.

Wates Group acquired property services business Liberty from social housing provider ForHousing in late 2024, with 1,000 additional staff members joining the team. Wates now employs almost 3,000 people and reported a turnover of £364 million for 2023.

To support this growth, Paul Maghie has joined as Business Growth Director. He held recent roles at United Living Property Services, Novus Property Group and Bailey Garner.  Mark Wiles has also joined the FM team as Business Development and Work-Winning Director, after working for ISS for over 13 years.

David Morgan, Executive Managing Director for Wates Property Services, said: “2024 topped off five years of progressive growth for us, doubling the turnover of our FM portfolio and the Property Services business overall. 

“With Liberty on board to offer heating and compliance as well as renewables expertise, we’ve expanded our offer and these appointments will support our strategy to continue to broaden and grow what we can offer our customers, so I’m delighted to welcome Paul and Mark to the team.”
