Amulet Wins New Security Contract With Govia Thameslink Railway

13 August 2025

Amulet, part of Churchill Services Group, has won a three-year security contract with Govia Thameslink Railway.

The contract will see Amulet working across the network’s stations, depots, and seasonal operations. The team will provide 24/7 manned guarding at ten stations and five depots, supported by 30 station-based officers and 22 depot security professionals.

Specialist teams will also assist in Operation OLAF, the rail industry's annual stabling programme, which takes place between 24 and 27 December, when trains are out of service. Amulet will deploy over 100 staff members at 21 nationwide stabling locations to guard the trains whilst they are stabled.

Amulet will also deliver front-of-house operations and mobile CCTV solutions at Go Ahead House in Croydon, the headquarters of Govia Thameslink Railway.

“We were impressed with Amulet’s clear understanding of our operational requirements, which supplement our many other security measures and the work of the British Transport Police, and the quality of their mobilisation planning,” said Mike Boyce, Head of Security & Policing at Govia Thameslink Railway.

“Their approach demonstrated strong attention to resilience, staff training, and innovative use of technology, all crucial in delivering a consistent, high-quality service across our network. We look forward to working in partnership to enhance safety and security for our passengers and colleagues.”
