Value for Money

The Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2020/21, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.04bn, supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.

James Gregg, Managing Director of Wates FM, commented: “As an FM provider that has proudly been working within the public sector for a number of years, we know that value for money will always be a primary concern for our clients. Framework procurement is a very powerful means of achieving cost efficiency and this comes with an assurance that clients will always receive a high quality service.

“We see ourselves very much as partners to our clients and procurement via the CCS Facilities Management and Workplace Services Framework will create an environment where we can understand a client’s needs and provide a service that enhances their operations. In every case, this will come with a promise that we will invest in extensive social value initiatives to ensure our work through the framework has a meaningful impact on those around us.”

Brian Talbot, Managing Director, Central Government & Defence, Mitie, said: “We are proud to continue our support for the UK’s public sector through our appointment to this framework. As one of the government’s strategic suppliers providing facilities management services, we are excited to bring our innovation-led approach to deliver efficient, safe and sustainable spaces for government.”
