Unless you've been on some kind of news blackout, you'll know that the Facilities Show takes place next week at London's Excel. We've got a preview and links to book tickets.

You will also know that the exhibition has a familiar format with other exhibitions co-located. They are IFSEC (security show which will not be co-located next year), International Firex and the International Safety & Health Expo. Workplace Wellbeing, Smart Buildings Expo and Field Service Management are billed as separate events but will merge in to the Facilities Show.

Exhibitors

The organiser claim there will be over 280 exhibitors in the FM show alone showcasing the latest facilities and building management innovations.

Chris Edwards, Exhibition Director of the Facilities Show talks about what’s new.

 

Edwards also highlights the inspirational speaker series, which includes Jonny Wilkinson, Steph McGovern and Eddie the Eagle.

On the first day, Steph McGovern will talk about how she went from working as an apprentice engineer at Black & Decker in Durham to becoming a financial journalist and BBC household name. McGovern will explain what she thinks it takes to be a good business and why we need to value skills more in the UK.

Workplace Wellbeing Theatre

The Workplace Wellbeing Theatre

will definitely be worth a visit with topics such as Supporting employee mental health; What does an emotionally healthy workplace look like?; Implementing an effective mental health strategy; and the ‘Talk to Me’ initiative at Siemens all featuring on the first day.

Concept Evolution CAFM/IWMS Version 5

FSI, the facilities management software provider, will release version 5 of the Concept Evolution CAFM/IWMS solution at the Facilities Show.

FSI have designed their latest release from the ground up, primarily with the user in mind. For example, features and page designs make it easier for users to work with their data.

Collapsible panels are available to maximise the screen real-estate and the left-hand navigation can also be collapsed to an icon-only view.

Buttons have been grouped in the toolbar for a simplified page layout.

Users can even set up a Favourites menu group to find the data they need quickly and easily.

V5 also has had a visual makeover too. There is a choice of light or dark colour schemes and the system can easily be branded to match corporate colours.
