ISS Healthcare On A TFM High And Waverley Says Hello To Mitie Mouse

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust has appointed ISS for a comprehensive FM contract that takes in estates maintenance, cleaning, catering for service users and staff, waste management, in-patient linen and laundry, postal, portering and security services.

The contract, commences in January 2019 and runs for an initial 5-year period.

ISS will provide services at the mental health Trust’s two main sites, St. Pancras Hospital and Highgate Mental Health Centre, with a mobile estates team looking after about 30 further community sites across the Trust portfolio.

Phil Wisson, Associate Director Estates & Facilities at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are very much looking forward to ISS starting with us and bringing their expertise and approach to enhance the delivery of key services. They will play a fundamental role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the Trust - one which our staff rely on for significant support as they focus on providing mental health care.”

Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust

The Trust provides mental health and substance misuse services to people living in Camden and Islington and a substance misuse and psychological therapies service to residents in Kingston. There are two inpatient facilities, at Highgate Mental Health Centre and St Pancras Hospital, as well as community based services throughout Camden and Islington. The Trust is also a member of University College London Partners, one of the world’s leading academic health science partnerships.

The Trust has an income circa £150 million and employs approximately 2,000 staff.

 

Waverley Says Hello To Mitie 

Waverley Borough Council has issued Mitie Property Management’s social housing business with a £3.2 million a year repairs and maintenance contract covering Waverley’s 5,000 social housing properties over a potential ten-year period.

As a condition of the contract, Mitie is charged with delivering social value activities and digital inclusion training initiatives for residents, including Waverley's mouse@home project, which provides opportunities to access the internet for Senior Living scheme residents.

Mitie will provide and manage repairs and maintenance as well as offering void property protection for the Council’s properties in Surrey over an initial five-year term with the option to extend for a further five-years.

In partnership with Waverley, Mitie’s team will be co-located with the Council’s teams at its head office in Godalming.

Mitie will be self-delivering a minimum of 80% of repairs and voids through a locally employed team of multi-skilled operatives including a 24/7/365 out of hours’ service.

Mitie will also implement a technology solution which will link Waverley and Mitie’s IT systems to enable dynamic appointment scheduling.
