Kier has been appointed as the FM provider for Cambridgeshire County Council’s corporate estate.
The contract will be delivered by Kier Places, Kier’s workplace solutions arm, and will span building, mechanical and electrical maintenance services across a portfolio of 160 corporate buildings. This includes the council’s new headquarters at New Shire Hall, libraries, highways depots, park & ride facilities, child and family centres, community hubs, and adult and children respite homes.
Kier will provide services such as preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor project works, and equipment servicing and testing at corporate properties across Cambridgeshire, alongside 24/7 help desk services.
The contract runs to 2027 with the option of two one-year extensions to 2029.
