Wiltshire Council has extended its facilities management services deal with Kier for at least four years.

Kier Places will continue to provide fabric maintenance, fire and security, and drainage services across Wiltshire Council’s commercial buildings as well as schools, libraries, corporate hubs, leisure centres and depots.

This extends Kier Places’ relationship with Wiltshire Council to 18 years, since first being appointed to provide facilities management services in 2011. There is also an option to extend the contract for a further five years from 2029 onwards.

"The delivery providers we appoint are extremely important and I am pleased that we have been able to agree a continued partnership with Kier to look after our estate,” said Cllr Mel Jacob, Deputy Leader of Wiltshire Council and Cabinet Member for Communities, Engagement and Corporate Services.

“In our experience, they have the highest standards of service delivery which in turn will mean our residents and visitors will enjoy these same high standards in our buildings."

The base contract value over five years is £3.4 million – not including reactive maintenance costs or project works.
