• BBC Extends FM Contract With Mitie

Mitie will continue to deliver facilities management services for the BBC for an additional two years.

The contract will span engineering, logistics, maintenance, cleaning, and landscaping across the BBC’s nationwide property portfolio, with sites in London, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Salford.

Simon Venn, Managing Director, Technical Services and Integrated Facilities Management at Mitie, said: "We are proud to be extending our relationship with the BBC as we continue to provide industry-leading facilities management services. We look forward to trialling new technology with the aim of strengthening these services further as we continue to support one of the world’s most prestigious and highly reputed media organisations.”

Supporting the BBC to Reach Net-Zero by 2030

Through its Plan Zero consultancy services, the Mitie team will also continue to support the BBC’s pledge to reach net zero by 2030, and Mitie will recommend ways to reduce carbon emissions and support the organisation’s decarbonisation strategy.

As well as Broadcasting House in London, the contract will see Mitie deliver services across a range of studios and offices across the UK including Wogan House, BBC Maida Vale and BBC White City.
