EMCOR UK has won a five-year deal to deliver facilities management services across the BBC’s estate.

The contract includes business-critical services across more than 100 buildings across the UK and Northern Ireland, including London Broadcasting House, Media City Salford, Central Square Cardiff, Broadcasting House Belfast and Glasgow Pacific Quay.

The arrangement will begin in early 2025, with EMCOR’s 700+ strong team delivering a suite of services under an integrated model, including building engineering, cleaning, waste management, landscaping and pest control. Mitie previously delivered the contract.

The BBC pledges to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across the value chain by 2050 and reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2 per cent by 2030, from a 2019/20 base year.
