CMD has been awarded a contract to supply the power distribution system for one of Europe’s largest casino resorts.

The multi-million new casino resort located in southern Europe is close to completion and will accommodate over 2km of CMD’s Betatrak underfloor busbar power distribution systems.

The integrated casino complex is the first of its kind in the country and predicted to be the largest in Europe once completed – the casino will offer a gaming area, with more than 100 tables and 1,000 slot machines. It will be part of a resort that will also include a five-star hotel, a convention centre, 1,700m2 of retail accommodation, and leisure facilities including spa and fitness, indoor and outdoor pools, a 1,500-seater amphitheatre and terraced gardens.

Authentication Solution Providers’ Association Certification

The Betatrak system met a series of demanding specification criteria for the casino project, including ASPA (Authentication Solution Providers’ Association) certification, which ensures the use of genuine products that meet the required regulatory standards.

The client also stipulated that the system used should be UK-made and provided with a warranty. CMD was able to accommodate all of these requirements and offer improved performance compared to the copper contacts required by the client, with brass contacts that are more robust than copper with the same conductivity.

Comments Nick Coll, European Sales Manager at CMD: “We have been very active in the European market for some time with our tech solutions for office interiors but have only begun to offer our underfloor power distribution systems in Europe within the past year. Many of our UK installations were completed 20 years ago or more and are still providing the same performance and flexibility they delivered on day one”.
