Read Full ArticleDMA Group has won an FM contract worth in excess of £2 million at the Port of Dover.
The project will see DMA Group undertaking repairs and improvements as part of the port's duties to maintain fire precautions within approximately 65 buildings across the port, managed and delivered by the resident on-site team.
The Port of Dover is Europe’s busiest international ferry port, handling two million cars and 11 million passengers. The Port also welcomes 2.4 million trucks per year, more than all other ports within the UK. The port deals with £144 billion of trade in goods each year, and 33 per cent of the UK’s trade with the EU.
This project is part of the multi-year, port-wide mechanical & electrical maintenance and projects framework which commenced in January 2022. That agreement was cemented by both parties signing a Framework Charter which confirmed shared collaborative commitments to work together to continuously improve and raise the standards of building maintenance and project delivery across the Port.
This has led to DMA’s service delivery scope expanding to cover general building maintenance, fabric repairs, and specialist compliance services.
Steve McGregor, Group MD at DMA Group, said: “Securing this project is testament to the transparent, collaborative efforts of both organisations and because we are both focussed on finding ways to work smarter together. We’re extremely proud to be contributing to making the Port’s buildings work better.”
Adrian Baker, the Project Manager from Port of Dover, added: “The Port of Dover with DMA Group are working closely together to deliver this important project.”
