The University of Edinburgh has appointed Atalian Servest, the global FM service provider, with a contract to maintain its fire alarm and associated life safety systems.

The three-year contract is worth a base cost of £250,000 per annum.

Atalian Servest will service over 250 buildings within the historic City of Edinburgh, some of which are Grade A listed. Premises include lecture theatres, libraries, seminar buildings and student and family accommodation.

The contract will include maintenance of disabled person refuge communication systems and remote monitoring telephone line systems, supporting the safety of staff, students and visitors at the university.

Heather Fleming, Building Services Engineer at the University of Edinburgh, said: “Atalian Servest has been a key partner, delivering other contracts and projects for several years. We welcome the fire and security team to enhance the experience of our stakeholders, students and visitors alike.”
