Exclusive Contracts Appointed to Clean H&M Stores

Exclusive Contracts Appointed to Clean H&M Stores
04 August 2020

Fashion retailer H&M has appointed Exclusive Contract Services to provide cleaning services to stores in the east and south-east of England.

Exclusive Contracts will provide daytime cleaning services in 85 stores operating under the H&M brand, as well as the Swedish fashion retailer's other brands within the group, including Weekday, Monki, Cos and Arket.

85 Stores Across England

Over 500 Exclusive Contracts cleaning staff have been allocated to the contract, together with janitors for select stores.

A founding member of The Exclusive Services Group, Exclusive Contract Services is a specialist in cleaning retail, media and leisure, logistics, education, pharmaceutical and commercial spaces.

Jim Melvin, Group Chief Executive, commented: "We're very proud to be working for as prestigious a fashion brand as H&M.

"Our expertise in national retail coupled to proven skills in team building and management won us this contract and I'm delighted that we are already winning plaudits for the commitment of our teams to task in what is a very challenging time for the sector."

H&M reopened hundreds of its UK stores on 15 June after the UK Government gave non-essential shops permission to trade again.

In early July of this year, Retail Gazette reported that H&M planned to shut 170 of its stores across its global estate, as sales remained affected by the impact of the pandemic and local lockdowns in key regions. The company has not yet revealed which stores will close.
