Louisa Clarke said: “Our goal in creating the group is to establish an armed forces family where veterans can come together, network and support each other in developing their careers. We’re excited to be a part of an initiative that harnesses the talents of this important group in our sector.
“FM is a natural career of choice for those leaving the armed forces as many already have the required skills and competence to join and develop their careers within this critical profession.”
Jonathan Nobbs, IWFM Director of Membership and Partnerships added: ”The development of this group is an exciting step forward for IWFM as we further explore ways to support veterans in the workplace and facilities profession. I’m delighted and thankful that we’ve been able to convene this high-powered group of veterans in our membership.
“While IWFM has a rich history supporting the veteran community, there is still much work to do to provide the awareness and support to veterans considering their next career step, but together, we can look to change that.”
