Both OCS and Carillion offer facilities management services at Heathrow Airport. For example, OCS looks after the turn-around of aircraft - a function that is fraught with security and quality issues...but the firm has been doing it for fifty years.
Carillion runs cleaning airside and landside - again there are security and quality issues and a complex set environments to deal with.
Both organisations were focused on finding software solutions that would help them to provide a compliant and efficient service to satisfy their clients.
Carillion at T5
Charlotte Bennett, T5 Contract Manager for Carillion said: “Keeping the environment constantly clean and safe for the thousands of people using the terminal on a daily basis at Heathrow Terminal 5 is a huge task. To enable us to do this, we needed a software solution that would be able to cope with the scale and complexity of the job at hand.”
Deploying over 300 employees to provide integrated cleaning and janitorial services at Terminal 5, Carillion needed a software solution that would be adopted quickly and easily by the large, and dispersed workforce.
Servicetrac from Innovise was identified as the solution as it provides a flexible, web-based task-management system that can be accessed from any location via PDAs, mobile phones or tablets. It is also a scalable solution, designed to grow with the needs of the business and the demands of the client.
Servicetrac shows simple tasks, checklists, patrolling tools and other similar mechanisms, which allow the management team real-time visibility of activities. It also provides the operator or employee with a series of prompts and reminders to ensure that all tasks are complete. The software allows multiple audits to be managed, again in real-time. Clear, easy to follow information ensures that each person involved in the process understands their role and their actions, making the collection of key performance data straightforward and accurate.
The system can be configured for any new requirements, from a single online database and it is designed with in-built, pre-audit compliance programmed into the software.
Take a look at turnaround
