Change in Management Board of Apleona Real Estate Management

On January 1, 2022, Julia Steinmetz will join the Management Board of Apleona Real Estate GmbH. The lawyer has been at Apleona since 2019, most recently as authorised signatory and Head of the Retail and Centre Management department. In total, she has ten years of management experience in the real estate sector.

Julia will successively take over responsibility for the Property Management department from Dr. Ralf Lehmann, who will depart the Management Board of Apleona Real Estate GmbH on July 1, 2022, and is leaving the company by amicable agreement.

Apleona CEO Dr. Jochen Keysberg had the following to say about the generational change: “In very challenging times, Ms. Steinmetz has successfully managed our retail and center management for our customers with great commitment and intuition for the right trends. She will enhance our property management, lay a particular focus on the expansion of existing digitalization initiatives, and provide our customers with even stronger support to meet ESG challenges.”

“We thank Dr. Lehmann for the excellent working relationship in the last few years and respect his wish to leave the company for personal reasons as he turns 60. In the next few months, he will be available for an orderly and gradual handover of business in the interests of our customers,” Dr. Keysberg continued.

Ecoserv Group Appoints Chief Sales Officer

Ecoserv Group, the multi-discipline facilities management (FM) company, has expanded its senior management team as part of its ambitious growth strategy and to support its diversification into new service areas. Dees Maharaj has joined Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to support Ecoserv’s business development, operational diversification, corporate governance and future acquisitions.

Maharaj brings over 15 years of experience within the facilities services sector to the role and will become an important part of the Ecoserv Executive Board. He joins from Bidvest Prestige in South Africa, where he was the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, having previously been National Sales & Marketing Director for Servest SA. Moving forward, his primary objective will be to build a robust sales team to deliver organic growth through new business development and the cross-selling of the expanded service offering.

Jean-Henri Beukes, CEO of Ecoserv Group commented: “These latest appointments are part of our ambitious strategy to transform to a multi-service FM provider. I am delighted that Dees and Kevin have decided to join us on our journey and welcome them to the senior management team. They will both make a huge contribution to the business and help us achieve our growth targets.”

Cluttons Hires Reeta Patel

Cluttons has appointed Reeta Patel as an associate partner in its commercial and strategic asset management team as part of a drive to expand this key focus of the business.

Reeta has over 10 years’ qualified experience in commercial property management and joins from CLS Holdings (CLSH) where she managed a core portfolio of offices and mixed-use buildings in London and throughout the UK. She was responsible for service charge budgets totalling over £5m, due diligence for acquisitions, tenant engagement and a number of sustainability projects across the portfolio. Prior to CLSH, Reeta held positions in asset and property management at JLL and Cushman & Wakefield.

Throughout her career, Reeta has been a strong advocate of inclusivity, helping primary school children gain skills that will equip them for the working environment through the Skills Builder Partnership with Enabling Enterprise; in working with teenage girls to encourage them to consider a career in property through the Build Your Future programme by Landsec and Ahead Partnership and she also regularly volunteers in her local community as an older persons befriender for Westminster’s Volunteer centre.

Matt Peake, Partner and Head of Commercial and Strategic Asset Management at Cluttons, said: “Property and asset management is a core area of the business for Cluttons – it is central to our strategy to be a truly multi-disciplinary property consultancy where we can bring in our experts from across the different disciplines to enable us to see a bigger and more strategic picture and genuinely add value for our clients. Reeta brings with her some new insight and knowledge that will help the team continue to deliver an enhanced service.”

Reeta said: “This role is a real opportunity to join a collaborative and strategic team that puts the client front and centre of all activity. Cluttons is known for its exemplary client service and I am proud to have a key role in taking this forward in a team that is set to grow further over the coming months.”
