Compass Scotland has appointed Emily Robinson (RNUTR) as Senior Nutritionist and Sustainability Lead.
In this new role for the business, Emily is responsible for the delivery of nutrition and sustainability education for employees, clients and consumers across all Compass Scotland sites, including schools, workplaces and venues.
Working with the central nutrition team, and the culinary team in Scotland, Emily will develop and deliver a wider strategy to incorporate and develop a Scotland centric approach. She will also support the food offer with her expert knowledge of Scottish Government legislation around food and nutrition.
A Registered Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, Emily has worked for Compass Group UK & Ireland for three years. She first joined the company as Regional Engagement Manager and Nutritionist for Compass Group UK & Ireland’s education catering specialist, Chartwells, in the South of England in 2019, before becoming Regional Nutritionist in 2020. Prior to joining Compass, she worked as an Associate Nutritionist for organisations including the British Nutrition Foundation.
Having spent three years working for Chartwells in England, Emily will be a local support for the Chartwells schools in Scotland to deliver the award-winning Beyond the Chartwells Kitchen food, nutrition and sustainability education programme to young people, aged from 4-to 18 years. As well as schools, she will also deliver education sessions for clients and employees and play an integral role in the employee mental health programme.
Emily said: “Being a brand new role for Scotland, my aim is to gain a clear vision on what our clients and customers are looking for when it comes to wellbeing and sustainability, as well an understanding of the focus and anticipated actions of the Scottish Government. My ambition is to help drive positive, evidence-based change in education, menus, behaviour and wellbeing among children and adults in Scotland.”
Emily is also part of Compass’ Women in Food initiative, which aims to support and develop female talent, as well as helping to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
Cluttons has appointed a senior-level property manager to work in its commercial and strategic asset management team, based at its Oxford office, to add further value to clients in and around the region. Steven Pain joins on a part-time basis adding strength and depth to the existing team.
Steven has over 30 years of experience in commercial property, the majority of which has been running the property departments for major occupiers undertaking all aspects of property management, predominantly in the retail sector. More latterly he was head of property at Blackwell UK Ltd before setting up his own general practice property consultancy based in Oxford.
Steven Pain said: “Cluttons is a well-established brand known for its customer service and collaborative way of working. I am excited to have the opportunity of adding my own skills to the Oxford office and integrating myself into the business, supporting the national team utilising my previous retail experience.”
Cleaning and soft services provider, Kingdom Cleaning, has a new Managing Director at the helm, following the recent promotion of Peter Buff.
Peter, who was formerly Operations Director at Kingdom Cleaning, has been with the company for over four years and has 25 years of experience in leadership. He has previously held senior roles, spanning operations, account development and sales, for firms including Johnson Controls GWS (now CBRE), ENGIE, and Mitie.
Following the acquisition of Facilicom UK by Kingdom Services Group in 2021, Peter will oversee the cleaning division of the company, with the goal of making its services more personalised and efficient. His initial aim is to support clients as they ease back into the office environment, by ensuring his high-performing teams create safe and inspiring workspaces.
Peter’s position as Managing Director commenced on 1st February 2022, following the departure of Jan-Hein Hemke, who had led Kingdom Cleaning (and formerly Facilicom UK) for over 17-years.
Peter Buff said: “Following Jan-Hein’s inspirational leadership, I am delighted to be stepping into the role of Managing Director for Kingdom Cleaning. The business has been a key player in the cleaning and hygiene industry for decades, from our roots with the Facilicom Group, to being part of the Kingdom Group family today, and I am excited to take it to the next level in my new role.
“Building on the strength and potential of both Kingdom Cleaning and Kingdom Services Group, we have major plans to make the company an even higher performing business, delivering added value and high-quality services to our current and future clients. As we embark on this new chapter, I am very much looking forward to working with the team, and our customers, to bring our high-energy ideas to life.”
