The Greater London Authority has extended a contract to provide City Hall with office and public area cleaning and porterage services with the incumbent operator.
ABM UK is will be at one of the capital’s most iconic buildings for a further five years. The company told ThisWeekinFM this win follows several recent contract awards for local government and commercial office, banking and finance environments.
ABM will deliver daily housekeeping, cleaning, porterage, hygiene and laundry services as part of the contract for what is the Greater London Authority's (GLA) headquarters in Southwark and also their demised space within the London Fire Brigade’s HQ.
Envrio focused
The retention will see ABM continue to embed sustainable practices, including the use of water based cleaning solutions and products.
John McPherson, ABM UK MD, said: “We’re paying the London Living Wage as a minimum to each member of the team as we provide an adaptable service which ensures that GLA staff and visitors experience a safe, clean and well-run environment.”
