There has been an announcement of the pre-qualification procedures for the management and operation of the services of the Grand Egyptian Museum at the Grand Egyptian Museum international conference.

Dr. Sahar Nasr said: "We put the museum project on the map of Egypt investment as one of the major projects that we promote  and we seek to transform the surrounding area into an attractive area for domestic and foreign investment.

Dr. Khaled El Anany said: "The Egyptian Grand Museum is the new pyramid in the area of ​​the Giza antiquities and it is not only a museum to display the archaeological pieces of the ancient civilization of Egypt but a cultural and community monument. The Ministry of Antiquities will take over all the archaeological parts of the facilities, the museum's exhibition halls and the responsibility of securing it."

The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation announced on Sunday June 10th the pre-qualification procedures for managing and operating the services of the Grand Egyptian Museum, in the presence of Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Dr. Khaled El Anany, Minister of Tourism, Major General Kamal al-Dali, Governor of Giza, and a number of ambassadors from European and Asian countries, the North and South America and development partners.

The museum project includes large investment areas including a conference centre with a capacity of 1,000, a modern cinema, restaurants overlooking the Pyramids, an open area for restaurants, cafeterias, shops, libraries, a centre for teaching traditional arts and crafts, a multi-purpose building, gardens and large squares for artistic and cultural events and recreational activities.

Dr. Khaled El Anany, Minister of Antiquities, said that the Great Egyptian Museum is the new pyramid in the Giza area. It is not only a museum to display the ancient artifacts of the ancient civilization of Egypt but also a cultural and community monument. He pointed out that the Great Egyptian Museum is the largest museum in the world. 500,000 square meters with the effects of a single civilization.

The museum also includes a collection of shops and 10 restaurants, including two towers on the pyramids of Giza, a conference hall for 1,000 people, a cinema hall for 500 people, a centre for teaching heritage crafts and traditional arts, libraries and spaces for events, B.

The contract for the management and operation of the museum's services, development, operation and maintenance will look for previous experience to manage and operate similar projects to international quality standards.
