Benefits of the Pairing

Steve Malkin, CEO and founder of The Planet Mark says, Crowdfunder’s expertise and audience reach will help to unlock exciting projects. The introduction of Crowdfunder to The Planet Mark community will provide advice and, critically, access to wider funding and grants.  The partnership will bring exceptional success in helping individuals and organisations access funding to ensure that collectively we build back better and support a regenerative economy in this crucial Decade of Action. The partnership will be empowering, but just as importantly, bring together like-minded individuals and organisations to share in the passion for a regenerative economy for society and the planet. The importance of a sustainable business and the role organisations play in creating thriving society and environment is at the core for all of us.”
Crowdfunder CEO Rob Love comments, “At Crowdfunder, we’re inspired by the amount of projects on our platform that are tackling climate change and are consciously trying to reduce their environmental impact.  Our team, and the projects we support, are dedicated to saving the planet and committed to making positive, sustainable change.  Our partnership with Planet Mark is an important one as we combine our mirrored values for continuous improvement and to be a collective force for good.”

About The Planet Mark

The Planet Mark is an internationally recognised sustainability certification which recognises continuous progress, encourages action, and builds an empowered community of like-minded individuals. It is awarded to businesses, properties, new developments and projects that are committed to reducing their carbon emissions. Companies are certified immediately when they sign up based on their commitment to sustainability progress. To keep The Planet Mark, an organisation must reduce their carbon footprint every year, commit to engage their staff and commit to communicate externally. For example, commercial and residential cleaning company GreenZone Cleaning & Support Services has cut carbon by 15.8 per cent per employee in its eighth year of reporting to retain the certification.

Holders of The Planet Mark deliver results that go beyond compliance, reaching new levels of sustainability and engaging their people in the process. On average, certified businesses make a 16 per cent carbon saving per employee through reductions in energy, waste, water, travel and procurement. The Planet Mark is partnered with Cool Earth, the award-winning charity that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction, to protect an acre of rainforest for every new business certificate it delivers.  Deforestation contributes up to 20 per cent global CO2 emissions.  The only way to halt destruction is to align the future of the rainforest with the people best placed to protect it. This means placing forest in the hands of the people who rely on its survival for their survival. For more information, please see their partner page.
