Atlas FM will provide soft facilities management services for the British Library.

The contract includes cleaning and support services at the public site in St Pancras, London and the collection site in Boston Spa, Yorkshire ensuring they are clean, safe and operational.

Atlas has provided services to the British Library since 2003, partly under the Emprise brand, which was acquired by Atlas in 2017.

The appointment was made through Crown Commercial Services, and Atlas Group Managing Director, Chris Wisely commented on the news: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with a world-leading institution. We highly value the long-term partnership we have developed with the team at the British Library, and we are particularly proud of our people who help keep it clean, safe and well-cared for on a daily basis.”

The British Library’s St Pancras site will undergo a £500 million upgrade to add approximately 100,000 sq ft of new space. The work is due to begin in 2023.
