CBRE has begun a new partnership with the Met Office, the United Kingdom's national weather service. This follows CBRE’s recent appointment to provide Critical Infrastructure Asset maintenance to its UK Headquarters facilities in Exeter.

The Met Office is one of the world’s leading providers of scientific excellence in weather, climate and environmental forecasts and severe weather warnings for the protection of life and property.

Uptime of assets is imperative, and the CBRE team will deliver a risk focused maintenance approach, providing planned and reactive maintenance, minor works to Critical Infrastructure (Building, Fabric, Plant & Machinery), and helpdesk services - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

CBRE has extensive experience delivering services to critical environments and the approach at the Met Office will be bolstered by CBRE’s embedded culture of risk mitigation, utilising our industry leading Critical Environment Risk Methodology (CERM™) and CERMView™ Risk Management technology platform.

Andrew North, Critical Environments Business Unit Director, CBRE commented: “We are excited to start our partnership with the Met Office, and look forward to working in collaboration with the Met Office team and their soft service partner, OCS, to deliver a joined up, culturally aligned service that delivers exceptional outcomes”.

Ralph James, FM & Technical Services Manager, Met Office commented: “During the competitive dialogue process, we felt CBRE demonstrated a deep understanding of our vision and strategic objectives. We are confident that they are the best partner to support the maintenance of our critical infrastructure.

“We are very excited to be embarking on this new five-year partnership with CBRE and have selected a partner with a proven track record in delivering innovation and excellence.”
