Strata Takes Over Maintenance Contract at Kings Hill Estate

Strata Takes Over Maintenance Contract at Kings Hill Estate
25 April 2022

Strata has been coordinating the takeover and mobilisation of the commercial maintenance contract at the busy Kings Hill estate in Kent.

Appointed as the Landlord maintenance partner by Kings Hill Management Ltd from 1st January, Strata is looking after all Service Charge Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance within the estate’s diverse portfolio of 21 commercial properties.

They will also be providing reactive services via an emergency help desk facility to the 60 resident occupiers, whilst they manage this contract for a minimum term of three years.

Formed by Directors Susan Davies and Lisa Box, Kings Hill Management Ltd was awarded the estate management responsibilities for Kings Hill following a successful tender procurement process by Prologis (Liberty).

Both residents of Kings Hill themselves for over 20 years, Susan and Lisa now run the contract collaboratively alongside the estate’s various maintenance teams and delivery partners, together from their hub at Liberty Square.

“We are immensely proud to receive this appointment, following years of proven high-quality delivery in the area. Our team are excited to get started and we look forward to getting to know the property tenants further as the contract progresses.”

Service Delivery in the Built Environment

The locally-based Kent contractor, Strata, has been delivering services to the built environment across the South East for 15 years, including Construction, Planned and Reactive Maintenance, Commercial fit out, Refurbishment and Storage and Logistics to all industry sectors.

This local presence has meant they are no strangers to the 800-acre Kings Hill estate and its tenants, having already successfully delivered and retained the annual street and external lighting maintenance programme and construction services there for over 14 years.

Susan Davies, Property & Estate Director, Kings Hill Management Ltd, commented: “After a long and comprehensive tender process, we are thrilled to be appointing Strata as our maintenance partner for the estate. Selecting the right Contractor for a delivery like this is crucial in successfully achieving our commitments as a responsible estate caretaker, and we are very confident that our tenants will be very well looked after by this skilled and experienced team.

“Strata have demonstrated their alignment with our focus on making energy savings and efficiency improvements across the entire Kings Hill portfolio, and we are excited to be working together to deliver initiatives which will benefit all our commercial tenants and residents alike.”

Strata also welcome some new team members in the wake of this award, as well as a vast range of newly vetted service partners, and the introduction of green electric vehicles to enable a zero-emission service delivery across the contract.

Tracey Lev’y – Managing Director, Strata, added: “We are immensely proud to receive this appointment, following years of proven high-quality delivery in the area. Our team are excited to get started and we look forward to getting to know the property tenants further as the contract progresses.”
