Corporate Receptionist of the Year – 2020’s Winner Named
16 December 2020

Diana Riaubiene of ISS has been named as 2020's Corporate Receptionist of the Year.

Riaubiene works for ISS at their contract with a financial institution, and she received the prestigious trophy at a ceremony yesterday (14 December 2020). She will also win a fully hosted, five-day trip to New York, dinner for two at Michelin-starred City Social restaurant in London, a two-day leadership development programme and a LinkedIn profile makeover.

"This has inspired me to pursue my passion for excellent customer service and to encourage others to do the same."

The judging panel also recognised two "highly commended" winners - Laura Egerbacher, who works for Lexington Reception Services at their contract at British Land and Reiss Gordon-Henry who works for Rapport Guest Services at their contract at HSBC.

Despite COVID-19, these two individuals showed exceptional energy and enthusiasm and still managed to develop personally and professionally this year.

Celebrating the Work of Front-of-House Staff

“What an absolute honour it is to win”, said Riaubiene, speaking shortly afterwards. “This has inspired me to pursue my passion for excellent customer service and to encourage others to do the same”.

The event also celebrated the incredible professionalism of all ten finalists in this, particularly challenging year. Each was shortlisted after a rigorous two-stage selection process by a judging panel of industry leaders. This year the second stage included a personal presentation, interview and a demanding role play all conducted virtually via Zoom.

Laura Egerbacher was delighted to be highly commended and said, “this makes me feel that all my hard work creating great experiences every day has been recognised”.

Reiss Gordon-Henry expressed his feeling about being highly commended by repeating four words; “brilliant, fantastic, incredible and outstanding”.

After a short pause he added, “this has been such a positive experience by topping off an awful year”.

Jess Pritchard Head of Corporate Sector at Moneypenny commented:

"Moneypenny is delighted to have supported the Corporate Receptionist of the Year Awards; championing those who achieve excellence. This year we have seen an acceleration of tech-related communication tools and providing excellence in customer services has been critical for businesses, many of whom have seen large fluctuations in call volumes and demand. I was extremely impressed by the deserving nominees which made judging a difficult task. Congratulations to this year’s winner!"

Craig Thatcher, Creative Director & Founder of StrawberryFinch added: “The Corporate Receptionist of the Year Award shines a powerful light on the ten best individuals in this industry and their critically important roles. There is nothing that marks out an organisation more clearly from competitors than by creating memorable experiences for clients, visitors and employees. As there is often very little difference between one company and the next. These ten people are luminous examples”.
