Current Role: Employee Relations Manager
On leaving the Armed Forces I pursued a role in Human Resources. I was fortunate to transition smoothly to the civilian world of work and my first role involved looking after Agency staff in a Contact Centre environment.
Unfortunately, I was placed at risk of redundancy and my job hunt recommenced. I was fortunate to be offered a position as a Human Resources Advisor with Churchill Group responsible for giving employment law advice to Operations teams from the North of Scotland to the South of Birmingham.
Having been in post 5 months it was identified that an Employee Relations Manager was required within the team and due to the leadership qualities I had honed during my military service I was in the privileged position of being considered for the role.
I am now heading up a team of 4 HR Advisors and 3 HR Assistants in a Shared Services environment who support the Company in an Employee Relations capacity at all levels, and who all strive to ensure that Churchill continues to be successful.
