The details:
In aid of Grief Encounter, a charity that supports bereaved children and young people.
The CHSA 2025 Gala Charity Ball is a perfect opportunity to network with friends and colleagues in the industry. It will begin with a Champagne reception, with magicians entertaining the guests. The three-course dinner, to be held in the main reception room, will be followed by a live entertainer and then a live band and dancing.
The raffle, which has traditionally been full of exciting prizes such as hampers from Fortnum & Mason, weekend breaks, a bottle of Single Malt and a year’s supply of toilet tissue, takes place after dinner. All the funds raised are donated to Grief Encounter. One child in every UK classroom will experience the death of someone close by the time they reach 16 years old. Children suffering the death of a parent or sibling find their lives changed forever; their grief and sadness often being compounded by isolation and fear, which can have a significant impact on a child’s mental health. Studies have shown bereaved children can face long-term social and emotional difficulties if they do not receive the right support at the right time, following the death of someone close.
The Gala Ball is taking place at Chesford Grange, a charming Tudor style manor house. Guests who stay will have access to the hotel’s leisure facilities, which include a gym, indoor heated pool, steam room and Spa.
