Andy Reid MBE
Executive Chairman


Corporal Andy Reid was an infantry-section commander with Burma Company, 3rd Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment.

In October 2009, Corporal Reid was seriously injured by a Taliban improvised explosive device while on patrol in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Injured so badly that it was thought he would not survive, he defied the odds to the extent that, within a month, he was able to meet up with members of his patrol again.

Now, Andy Reid MBE is a triple-amputee skydiver, cyclist, charity fundraiser, husband and father.

Geoff is an instantly recognisable Leader and Director in the FM industry and particularly known for actively championing the need for effective maintenance strategies, workable designs and driving improved standards of delivery in the built environment. He has led numerous industry activities, panels, boards, improvement initiatives and is long standing Chair of Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers - Facilities Management Group.

He has over 40 years experience in private and public industry, including the banking sector, critical environments, large property portfolios, Transport/Rail Infrastructure, Local Authorities, District /Regional Government and the Education sector, with particular emphasis in recent years with leading change and business transformation. He is well known for developing people, organisations and industry.

Matthew Bull
Contract Manager


Matthew joined the Royal Engineers in 2006 to become a Combat Engineer and completed his trade training as a Fitter General, later specialising as a Fitter Machinist. 

Upon leaving the military, Matthew engaged with training providers to gain the relevant qualifications to enable him to follow his chosen path into the FM world as an AC Engineer.

His six weeks resettlement was used to work for Acorn on a trial basis with a view to gain much needed “real world” experience and resulted in a full time position at the end.

Matthew is now a Contracts Manager at Acorn looking after a diverse and challenging portfolio of sites whilst developing his career within Acorn.

Geoff O'Donoghue
Electrical Services Manager


Geoff joined the Army in 1990 and completed a number of deployments, including the Gulf War, Northern Ireland, Kenya and Gibraltar, with the 1st and 2nd Battalions Coldstream Guards.

On leaving the Army Geoff had several different roles before going back to the family business and qualifing as an Electrician.  This allowed him to go on to work for several companies and even be self-employed, working for himself.

In the last five years he has moved into building services sector and currently holds the role of Electrical Services Manager. 

Geoff is responsible for a team of twelve professionals and ensures the electrical compliance of all the buildings in the teams portfolio, as well as any repairs needed to ensure the safe and efficient running of the building.

Garrath is a veteran who served for 17 years in the British and Australian Army - a diverse and often challenging career that fortunately allowed him to develop and lead teams around the world in a multitude of roles including peace keeping, disaster relief, civil support and combat operations.

Since leaving the Army Garrath has utilised the skills learnt in the military to gain commercial experience working with a high-performance training company, in an experiential leadership development consultancy and in one of the oldest and most well respected public schools in the UK.

More recently he has worked in the service charity sector working with veterans and the wider military community to provide support to them finding purposeful employment after their service commitment has concluded.

Mark Moseley

Mark is a former soldier and security specialist who operated in a number of hostile environments including Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo to name a few.

Now, Mark is part of the business mentoring programme at Heropreneurs as well as the founder of PestGone Environmental, a London-based pest control company. The company is young but has grown significantly with their customers including members of the royal family, the rich and famous, as well working in partnership with the London Port of Authority to keep the River Thames free from deceased animals.

His vision is to help improve the safety standards in the pest control industry whilst supporting sustainable charity projects around the globe.
