Cloudfm is aiming to lead the facilities management industry in carbon reduction and wider ESG strategies with the appointment of Katrina Christopoulos as Head of ESG.
Katrina will drive environmental and social policies within Cloudfm, working with customers and suppliers to accelerate change. Her previous roles include leading sustainability at Bloomberg in their London Headquarters, dubbed one of the most sustainable offices in the world, and having global responsibility as ISS's head of energy and sustainability.
She is also an associate of the IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) and a chartered energy engineer. Katrina Christopoulos said: “Cloudfm is recognised as a leader in carbon reduction in the facilities management and wider built environment sectors. Having spent time at Cloudfm, I can see that this company wants to cut through the greenwash and go beyond their own business, to really make tangible progress across ESG. It has a truly innovative approach and technology that will change how companies advance their energy management and carbon reduction strategies. It’s great to join the business, and I look forward to working with a team of passionate people.
Commenting on the appointment, Jeff Dewing, CEO of Cloudfm, said: “Katrina brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Cloudfm and will help to accelerate our strategic goals in championing ESG internally and for our customers. She has led internationally respected carbon reduction programmes and has the vision we need to lead the industry."
Cluttons continues its strategic expansion with Gráinne Gilmore joining as head of research to focus on delivering market insights and updates to clients.
Gráinne has been writing and commenting on property for more than 20 years. Most recently, she was head of research for Zoopla, providing market-leading property analysis and insights on residential sales and rental markets.
Before arriving at Zoopla, Gráinne was head of UK residential research at Knight Frank for eight years, where she led a team focusing on all aspects of residential sales and rental, residential development and the specialist build-to-rent, student and later living housing sectors.
Gráinne joined Knight Frank from The Times, where she was a financial and economics journalist for 11 years.
Gráinne said: “I am delighted to join such a well-established and highly respected business as Cluttons. It’s a very exciting time to join such a forward-thinking company that places clients and people at the centre of its strategy, and I look forward to playing a key role.”
A leading property consultancy has made six senior promotions within its commercial property management team to pave the way for future growth.
Fisher German has promoted Lara Mohacs to associate partner at its High Wycombe office, while Charmaine Parker and Graham King, who are based at the firm’s Doncaster and High Wycombe officers respectively, have both been promoted to senior associate.
Richard Owen has stepped up to become senior surveyor at the firm’s Rossendale base, with Michelle Lee and Natalia Krassowska becoming senior client accountants in the firm’s Birmingham office. Lara, who has more than 20 years of experience within commercial property management, has been with Fisher German for around five years and is the regional head for the firm’s southeast and south-central commercial property management team.
She said: “This promotion tops off what has been a really exciting time watching the business continue to grow both via merger activity and winning new business.
“It has been a really busy period for my 12-strong team as we continue to meet the rising demand for the management of industrial units and office space, and our team is set to grow even further over the coming year.
“I’m proud to have been recognised in this way by Fisher German and to work for a firm that is committed to helping its colleagues to develop and grow, and I am looking forward to developing my career even further with the business.”
The promotions come after the firm’s merger with Matthews & Goodman earlier in the year, which created one of the largest providers of multi-disciplinary property services in the UK, with a turnover approaching £60 million with 29 offices.
Senior Partner at Fisher German Duncan Bedhall said: “We are once again pleased to see a high number of people advancing within the firm as part of our career progression framework.
“As our business and Partnership continue to grow in size, we are seeing an increase in opportunities for our colleagues to develop and progress their careers, with a wide variety of career pathways available beyond the traditional graduate route. It is an incredibly exciting time to be working at Fisher German.”
Biovate Hygienics, which launched this year with a pledge to become the country’s go-to brand for sustainable and carbon-neutral cleaning products, has announced a trio of new hires to help propel it into its next stage of growth.
Kierran Bates, aged 21, recently joined the company with the objective of him evolving into a sales role after learning the ropes in an office-based support position. Kierran impressed his new employers with the many and diverse roles and skill sets he had developed in hospitality work, tiling, administration, e-commerce and even renovating a camper van to allow him to explore the length and breadth of the UK.
Jenny Barrett has decades of sales and industry experience, and has been passionate about biotechnology-based cleaning products for many years, working closely with the Biovate team in previous roles with distributors. Jenny has joined the team to focus on business development with Bidfood, which is Biovate’s national food service partner and also one of the UK’s largest food wholesalers. Having worked with large national distributors, Jenny is well placed to share her passion about biotechnology with Bidfood and their customers.
Nadia Winstone, has an honours degree in human nutrition which included food safety and management of large scale commercial kitchens and can call upon a diverse professional background which includes acquiring an excellent technical understanding of the make-up of biological products. Her other career highlights comprise stints in the NHS as a dietitian and managing her own businesses, making her the ideal recruit for a start-up environment. Nadia is married to co-founder Nick and has been a great support behind the scenes getting Biovate up and running. Nadia’s focus as Strategic Account Manager is to support the largest London restaurant and hotel group clients of cleaning, hygiene and catering products supplier Sybron, a key distribution partner which has supported Biovate since its inception.
Welcoming the trio of new hires, Nick Winstone enthused: “Biovate Hygienics continues to grow, with sales in the first six months of over 150,000 cases. To attract and retain talent we take a fairly unconventional recruitment approach, by looking externally and internally at the industry to secure the right people to support this growth.
"What has allowed us to grow from start-up to over 24,000 cases a month in six months, is the calibre of people in our team, who are incredibly agile and multi-talented."

With a vision to further support employee wellbeing and enhance company culture, Anthony will also focus on supporting a workforce that is split across multiple client sites with improved employee engagement and communication initiatives.
