Arcus FM Strengthens Commercial Real Estate Division with First-Ever Business Unit Director Appointment

 

Arcus FM, a leading provider of technology-led, people-driven Facilities Management services, is proud to announce a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. To support its growing presence within the Commercial Real Estate sector Kathy Hope has been appointed as its first Business Unit Director in this specialism

Continuing on its rapid growth trajectory, Arcus FM’s presence within Commercial Real Estate has grown exponentially in the last 12 months. The company has invested heavily in its commercial offering. It has developed a dedicated proposition, operational specialisms delivering innovative solutions, and new customer-centric technology – and this appointment is another sign of intent from the business. 

Kathy Hope brings over 25 years of experience in Workplace and Facilities Management, specialising in commercial and operational delivery as well as strategic development. Her appointment is a testament to Arcus FM’s dedication to enhancing its service delivery and operational excellence in the Commercial Real Estate sector.  As Business Unit Director, Kathy will lead Arcus's strategic initiatives to enhance operational delivery, strengthen management across CRE accounts, and offer exceptional customer service.

Kingdom Services Group Appoints Jennifer Littlewood as Chief Operating Officer for Kingdom Cleaning

 

Kingdom Services Group are pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Littlewood as the Chief Operating Officer of Kingdom Cleaning. The appointment of Jennifer marks a significant step forward for Kingdom Cleaning, encompassing Kingdom Hygiene, as they continue to drive growth and innovation in the sector.

Jennifer Littlewood brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Managing Director at Bidvest Noonan, where she was responsible for the end-to-end business management of the national Facilities Solutions Division. 

At Bidvest Noonan, Jennifer demonstrated exceptional leadership by executing a rapid post-pandemic turnaround and driving scalable, sustainable growth. Her efforts led to a remarkable £25 million growth in the first year.

Jennifer’s extensive expertise in a range of disciplines including commercial contract management, supplier and partner management, sales and client business development as well as being a CIMA qualified accountant, makes her a great talent addition to the Kingdom Board.

Jennifer’s appointment as COO of Kingdom Cleaning will focus on service and growth. It is an exciting time for Jennifer to be coming on board, utilising her management expertise to develop and support high-performing teams, forge strong client partnerships, and drive operational excellence through the delivery of outstanding service with care.

On her position as COO of Kingdom Cleaning, Jennifer says: “I’m thrilled by the opportunity to shape and lead on Kingdom Cleaning’s medium- and long term- business plan. I’m passionate about building strong professional relationships with customers and suppliers, founded on trust and respect. The appointment of Jennifer Littlewood also completes the team of four COOs at Kingdom Services Group, each overseeing Kingdom's core service pillars. Graham Allison will transition into a dedicated role as COO for Security, Systems, and Environmental, supported by his Regional Directors of Service.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys traveling, photography, and geology, and she values spending time with her family, which includes her husband, two children, three Labradors, and four cats.

 

SBFM Appoints Stuart Hamilton as Chief Strategy Officer

 

Leading soft FM service provider SBFM has appointed Stuart Hamilton as its new chief strategy officer, to spearhead business growth.

Hamilton joins SBFM’s leadership team, after working at the investment fund Soho Square Capital for the past eight years. His work there focused on investing in high-growth business services companies, including Arcus FM and Churchill Group, where he was a non-executive director. Previous to that role, he worked at BDO public accounting, tax and advisory professional services firm, for eight years, where he trained as a chartered accountant before moving into the M&A team.

Stuart’s appointment follows two other changes for SBFM’s board of directors. Dale Line, previously SBFM’s chief strategy officer, is now SBFM’s chief operating officer, helping to enhance SBFM’s operational and delivery strategies. Kelly Dolphin has also taken on the role of chief people and culture officer. Kelly will continue to drive employee engagement and retention, and take over all people-related functions of the business to improve employment opportunities and experiences.

Speaking about his new appointment, Stuart Hamilton, chief strategy officer at SBFM said: “I am delighted to be joining SBFM. I was inspired to join the company because it represents a truly disruptive force in the UK soft FM sector. SBFM’s focus on technology and culture provides a real opportunity to build on the impressive platform it has already established.”

ABM Drives Growth Agenda With New Hires

 

Leading facility and aviation services provider, ABM, has taken significant steps to strengthen and integrate its team. The moves are the latest in a variety of strategic changes made under the leadership of Richard Sykes who joined the business early in 2023, setting out an ambitious plan for growth in the UK and Ireland.

With the rapid expansion of the Technical Solutions business being central to delivering ABM’s growth agenda, strategic roles have been announced. Tony Hampson has joined from Amey as Vice President of Operations to oversee the Technical Solutions division, focusing on the expansion of hard services business to complement ABM’s existing and well-earned reputation for soft services and aviation solutions.

Nick Nothard has also been promoted to Commercial Director for Business & Industry UK, where he will lead commercial and contractual management. On soft services, David Donovan has been promoted to Vice President of Operations, while continuing to manage all aspects of the strategic relationship with Transport for London (TfL), overseeing four major contracts.

Campbell Murdoch, Business & Industry (B&I) Managing Director at ABM said: “The opportunity for the B&I division is significant. We have a keen focus on leveraging our world class reputation for soft services as a platform to bolster our hard services business; and Tony’s extensive experience means he is well positioned to lead the team in achieving our ambitious plans.

“Earlier this year we were awarded a significant contract with Transport for London (TfL) to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E) services across the London Underground network. It marked the strategic expansion of ABM’s longstanding relationship with TfL, providing cleaning services since 2017 and is a clear demonstration of the value we can offer our customers. David and Nic were pivotal to this win and will continue to bring this growth mindset to the team in their new roles.”

 

Service Works Global Appoints Nigel Robinson as UK General Manager

 

FM software provider Service Works Global (SWG) has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Nigel Robinson as its new UK general manager.

Robinson’s core responsibilities will include leading the UK management team, developing strategic plans, KPIs, and budgets, and supporting revenue targets set by the Executive Team. He will also work with SWG’s other global managers to improve international systems and operations.

Robinson’s promotion follows the appointment of Mats Broman as CEO at the start of May. They will work closely to identify opportunities for growth, both by strengthening partnerships with existing clients and developing new business relationships.

Robinson comes to this role with more than 18 years of experience in professional services, including eight years as professional services director. During previous roles, he has led teams of up to 40, supporting and upskilling them to drive sales and expand the company’s portfolio and client base. He has previously received awards for Business Consultant of the Year and Best Newcomer, and recently developed a new professional services governance framework to drive consistent improvements across delivery.

Nigel Robinson, UK general manager at SWG, said: “We’re at the start of a new chapter with Mats joining as CEO and it’s hugely exciting to be a part of the next stage of SWG’s journey. Tools such as building information modelling and digital twins have such a big part to play in the future of FM and building management. This is a great opportunity for me to help numerous organisations extract the maximum value from these tools and drive efficiencies, sustainability and cost savings across their estates.”

Mats Broman, CEO at SWG, added: “Nigel was the standout candidate for this role thanks to his deep expertise and many years of experience. He’ll be a critical part of my management team and I have no doubt he’ll help take SWG to the next level.”
