Platinum Facilities Awarded Three-Year M&E Contract at Sea Containers
20 September 2022

Platinum Facilities will deliver M&E maintenance services for Yorke Property Management Ltd at the prestigious Sea Containers property in London.

Speaking about the three-year contract, Paul Goodchild, Deputy Managing Director at Platinum Facilities commented: “Sea Containers is an iconic site in the heart of London and provides us with a fantastic opportunity to showcase our service delivery. I am personally looking forward to getting involved with our account management team and to working in partnership with Yorke Property Management Ltd.”

The History of Sea Containers

Sea Containers is located in a prominent position on the South Bank of the River Thames and is a mixed-use building, incorporating office spaces and a luxury boutique hotel.

Built in 1978 and designed by American architect Warren Platner, the Sea Container building was originally intended to be a luxury hotel, but the 1970s recession saw a conversion to office buildings.

In 2014, Morgan Hotels (SBE Entertainment Group) redeveloped it as the five-star hotel Mondrian London, retaining 20,000 square metres of office space on the lower and middle storeys.

In 2019, the hotel was rebranded as Sea Containers London, under new management by Lore Group.
