A property and asset consultant has stepped up its helpdesk facility with industry specialist, Cushman and Wakefield

Cushman and Wakefield, said to be the world’s largest privately owned real estate services company, has appointed FM helpdesk specialist, Propertyserve UK, to manage the helpdesk across the company's entire portfolio.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Property and Asset Management Group offers full national coverage to institutional and individual owners across 52 million sq ft of real estate investments under management in the UK. Sector specialist services are provided across shopping centres, London offices and mixed use portfolios.

Following a ‘rigid tendering process’, Cushman and Wakefield appointed Propertyserve UK to manage its helpdesk facility. Requirements for the helpdesk support included the need for a 24/7 operation, and a thorough understanding of the property management business.

"We needed to enlarge our existing offering and Propertyserve represented the perfect partner to support this move,” explained Peter Drabble, head of FM operations for Property and Asset Management at Cushman and Wakefield. "This type of outsourcing contract needs to be based on a true partnership, one which is built on trust and that is something we are definitely getting from Propertyserve.

Mr Drabble went on to state that the integration process was smooth, with no hiccups. The team had worked hard to “get under the skin of our business and that the proof of it succeeding was that we don't have to ring them with concerns; equally our tenants don't flag any concerns with us.”
