Bilfinger Industrial Services has secured a three-year contract extension with BP Chemicals Ltd worth £15 million.

The multi-service deal extends a previous agreement which sees the business provide a range of services, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, scaffolding and insulation, for the BP Chemicals owned facilities located on the 370-acre Saltend Chemicals Park, alongside the Humber estuary. There is an option to extend the contract up to 2024. Bilfinger says the agreement will secure approximately 90 existing jobs at the site.

The new agreement follows a recent five-year contract extension with BP to provide maintenance services at the Forties Pipeline System Terminals in Grangemouth and the Sullom Voe Terminal in Shetland, which secured 210 jobs.
