IFMA Names IFMA Fellows At World Workplace 2013

The International Facility Management Association announced the 2013 class of IFMA Fellows at its annual Awards of Excellence banquet on Friday, 4 October in Philadelphia, USA in a celebration that capped off IFMA’s World Workplace 2013 Conference and Expo. Four new fellows were named: Francis J. Kuhn, CFM, CFMJ; Thomas L. Mitchell Jr., CFM, CFMJ; Curtis L. Slife, CFM, NCARB, AIA; and Ondrej Strup, Ing.

The fellowship programme was established to recognise members dedicated to IFMA and the facility management profession. Over the years, it has become an elite core of respected leaders who act as advisers to and ambassadors of the association.

Francis J. Kuhn currently manages the real estate portfolio for western U.S. operations encompassing 15 properties and staff in excess of 1,760 people. He is accountable for southern California facility operations covering five offices and 1,440 staff.

Thomas Mitchell presently leads the business unit, comprised of subject matter experts within their respective professional disciplines, who work directly with clients and Booz Allen colleagues to develop vision, strategies and solutions that shape, improve and optimize the built environment to achieve organizational objectives.

As President & CEO of FM Solutions, Inc., Curtis Slife oversees up to 45 employees with oversight over 5-million square feet of commercial/industrial facilities that provide architectural/interior and project management services for various facility managers. In addition, facility consulting services are provided internationally.

As the founder and still the primary FM instructor in the Czech Republic, Ondrej Strup has built two businesses, the FM Institute (education and research) and Hein Consulting (FM consulting). He continues to organize numerous FM education related seminars, conferences, workshops which support FM growth.
