Remeha has launched the new Quinta Ace 160 a compact wall hung boiler with a large output that can also be installed in a cascade.

James Porter, a director at the company said: “The Quinta Ace 160 is one of the largest output wall hung boilers on the European market. With the space available in plant rooms becoming ever tighter, the opportunity to move large outputs away from the floor and onto the wall is a real benefit.

“The ability to cascade up to eight boilers, in-line or back-to-back, provides specifiers with many design options, enabling them to consider different ways to achieve required outputs and helping to reduce energy waste.

“Importantly, its ultra-low NOx emissions make it future-proof to Ecodesign (ErP) 2018. It can also be connected to any BMS without the need for additional parts.”

The boilers are shortly to be installed at the historic St Davids Cathedral in Pembrokeshire by contractor GG Thomas & Son. Andrew Thomas said: “The key requirements for the cathedral were improved reliability and efficiency. Taking into account the output required to heat the cathedral, the space constraints of the plant room and the fabric of the building, the Quinta was the most suitable boiler for this project.”
