Land Securities Accepts Ophir Offer

Land Securities has let a further 18,000sq.ft at 123 Victoria Street, SW1 to Ophir Energy PLC the FTSE 250 oil and gas exploration company.

Ophir, which is relocating from its existing Mayfair headquarters, will join existing tenants such as US software company Intuit, CDC Group, CPA Global and Jimmy Choo at 123 Victoria Street.

Victoria – with its station and other transport links, its proximity to the West End and Knightsbridge and its theatres, bars and clubs is proving popular with both energy and financial firms alongside fashion, leisure and media. Land Securities reported substantial lettings at 62 Buckingham Gate last year. This latest letting means 123 Victoria Street is now 93% let with but with 17,000sq.ft still available.

Kaela Fenn-Smith, Head of Leasing at Land Securities, said: “Ophir’s move from Mayfair to Victoria reflects the area’s increasing reputation.”
