Rachel McEntee, Pareto FM, Head of Marketing said “Pareto have always differentiated themselves in the market in terms of our social value agenda. We want to continue to innovate in the sector and drive real meaningful change. Therefore, these seven most recent pledges help show Pareto’s genuine commitment to making a difference through our business activities. We find it important to show genuine initiatives which have real outcomes, and all the associated pledges have proactive ‘action plans’ to ensure we are adhering to the true values. We consistently want to make this sector better and ultimate change the face of FM. We’d encourage those within the sector to consider these pledges and hopefully help improve well-being for all”.
Let’s take a look at some of the social value pledges that Pareto FM has committed to:
The Endometriosis Friendly Employer scheme is a way for employers confirm their commitment to developing a work environment that enables employees with endometriosis to thrive at work.
Through the scheme, Endometriosis UK provides guidance for employers on how to support employees with endometriosis and menstrual health conditions, and work towards improving the work environment.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that those who serve and have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, will be treated fairly in society. Employers can get involved with this by demonstrating forces-friendly credentials in their recruitment processes and being open to employing reservists, armed forces veterans (including the wounded, injured and sick), cadet instructors and military spouses/partners.
The Employers Domestic Abuse Covenant is a pledge by businesses to support women affected by abuse to enter or re-enter the workplace. Companies that sign the covenant commit to helping survivors of abuse to achieve economic independence by providing sustainable workplace opportunities.
Other pledges that Pareto has joined are:
