Carillion’s Annual Sustainability Report has won the FTSE 250 Sustainability Reporting category in this year’s PwC Building Public Trust Awards.
Now in its 11th year, the Building Public Trust Awards recognise four organisations for their excellence in corporate reporting – one from each of the following sectors: FTSE 100, FTSE 250, public sector and overseas. The Awards assess the depth and relevance of sustainability reporting offered throughout the publicly available information provided to stakeholders.
David Picton, (pictured) Chief Sustainability Officer at Carillion, commented: “The Award emphasised the six clear, positive outcomes that form the basis of our 2020 Sustainability Strategy, permeating Carillion’s operations and highlighting those issues most fundamental to our business and to our customers. In particular, we are seen as focusing clearly on future viability, balanced reporting and target transparency.
“Our ‘Sustainability Talk and News’ (www.stnlive.info) – our online platform for sustainability knowledge sharing is seen as an innovative way of connecting with our stakeholders.”
