C&C Catering Equipment Joins the Olympic Park Transformation

12 September 2013 | Updated 01 January 1970

C&C has been appointed to install new catering facilities in the £300 million Olympic Queen Elizabeth Park transformation project, North Hub Visitor's Centre. The park is expected to be attracting up to 9 million visitors a year from 2016 onwards and C&C has installed a new state of the art catering facility in the busy visitor centre. Incorporating kitchen areas, servery counters and an impressive community kitchen, the facility will not only benefit the millions of visitors to the park but also the residents of the new fledgling neighbourhood.

MD Peter Kitchin comments: "We're delighted to have been asked to work on the Olympic site – it’s an iconic project for London. It also demonstrates the far reaching benefits of the Olympics to businesses across the UK."

Shortly after the triumphs of 2012, the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) began the £300m construction project to transform the former Olympic site into the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Iconic venues and attractions will sit alongside new homes, schools and businesses, amongst open green spaces and pieces of art in the heart of London's East End.
