Read Full ArticleSt Mary’s RC Primary School in Langho near Blackburn, Lancashire has specified Total Care by Heckmondwike, fibre bonded carpet and carpet tile manufacturers, as part of a major refurbishment.
The school selected Total Care in Iris as it reflected the blue colourway of its logo. 48sq.m of Total Care was installed throughout the classrooms, offices and meeting areas of the building by local flooring contractor Rishton Flooring.
Catie Bowen, Bursar at St Mary’s RC Primary School, said: “Our previous carpet was looking worn and tired and we wanted to give the school a fresh new look. We chose Total Care because of the aesthetics of the carpet and the fact we could match it with our school’s logo colours. We also wanted a robust carpet but one that had a softer feel underfoot and Total Care fitted the bill perfectly.”
Total Care is widely used throughout education and healthcare environments as it is extremely durable and provides long lasting performance, even in areas of heavy traffic. It also features an impervious backing and is highly resistant to staining and bleach, as well as being renowned for its durability. The carpet is manufactured to meet all relevant flammability tests. Total Care carpet is very easy to fit and can, therefore, be installed relatively inexpensively. It also offers antistatic properties and is available in four metre widths.
In addition to Heckmondwike’s sheet and tile products, the company offers entrance mats which are very popular with schools. These can be integrated with bespoke logos and designs and are DDA approved. These can be either produced as a loose lay mat or inlaid into the floor in entrance areas. Heckmondwike offers 20 different colour options and mats are available in bespoke sizes to suit specific applications.
